Description
Want a more modern sparse array library that follows Numpy array conventions and can be interfaced with modern libraries like Dask or XArray? Look no more, because with our new library, that's all possible. We allow for multidimensional sparse arrays that follow Numpy's array interface and make using sparse arrays a breeze. We discuss the current scipy.sparse implementation, its limitations, and why a more modern sparse array library is needed. Then we talk about our implementation and how it builds on modern protocols and the methods used to achieve this. We end with performance evaluation and future directions.Presenter(s): Speaker: Hameer Abbasi, TU Darmstadt
